ABOUT OUR SCHOOL
Cloverdale Elementary School has been serving students in our community since 1980. Our school mascot is Clover the Lion . At Cloverdale we strive to be Leaders by Example. This means that we always try to do the right thing even when no one is looking.
Cloverdale offers students a range of academic and extra-curricular opportunities such as AVID, Mandarin, choir, Cadet Core, Ballet Folklorico, E-sports, Odyssey of the Mind, and Friday Night Live Kids.
As part of our school's Positive Behavioral Interventions and Support (PBIS), students also learn to ROAR. This is a matrix that exemplifies our core values of being Respectful, Organized, Accountable, and Responsible. Cloverdale Elementary currently maintains the Gold PBIS award for excellence in the implementation of the core features of PBIS.
Our school also prioritizes our student's social and emotional learning to ensure that they are equipped with skills such as self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, relationship skills, and responsible decision-making.
At our school we emphasize the power of the word yet and recognize that having a growth mindset is important and mistakes are part of the learning process. If at first you don't succeed, tell yourself, "I just don't have it yet" and keep trying! We also understand that a F.A.I.L. is a first attempt in learning and if someone has a F.A.I.L., we say, "it's cool!".
Our goal is to be college and career ready once we graduate from High School and that starts today!
