Staff, Scholar and Parent Responsibilities
Staff Responsibilities:
- Develop opportunities for each scholars to maximize his/her potential.
- Determine the level of scholar's skills and provide the most effective and challenging instruction to meet their needs.
- Inform parents frequently of the classroom program and scholar progress.
- Return parents’ inquiries or calls as quickly as possible.
Scholar's Responsibilities:
- Be respectful and responsible.
- Be accountable for all library and textbooks checked out to them.
- Follow all school expectations.
- Earn a passing grade in all classwork.
- Complete homework assignments and make up any missing assignments.
- Attend school regularly and be on time.
- Take home letters, reports, conference requests, and other communications for parent signature and return signed portion to school.
Parent’s Responsibilities:
- Support regular attendance and see that scholars are on time to school.
- Check for homework completion and have scholars make up any missing work.
- Provide miscellaneous materials as requested by teachers.
- Review, sign and return progress, and/or classroom reports.
- Attend parent/teacher conferences.
- Provide scholars with appropriate clothing.
- Show interest in what their scholar does each day in the classroom.
- Contact the school for information or to resolve a problem or concern.
- Keep the school updated on home, emergency and work phone numbers.
- Inform the school of reason for scholar's absence.
- Be accountable for all library and textbooks checked out to them.
